Alexander May, Legal Counsel
Alexander May has been with Shuang Cheng Attorneys at Law in Beijing since 1999. During that time he has developed a respected practice in the fields of corporate, commercial, foreign investment, international transactional, intellectual property, labor, and securities laws, among others. Mr. May’s acumen regarding legal, business, and policy issues in China is unparalleled as a result of his extensive experience representing a diverse clientele base including both domestic Chinese companies, foreign enterprises and governments.
Mr. May is degreed in Political Science and Chinese Foreign Policy from the University of Arizona and earned his Juris Doctor at St. John’s University in New York. Conversant in English, French, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, Mr. May resides full-time in the Peoples Republic of China.
Mr. May has published numerous articles and has been interviewed by numerous international media regarding issues in China - most recently, in the Far Eastern Economic Review, the China Economic Review, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, the South China Morning Post, and CNN.
