Allen Cheng, Senior Media Adviser
Allen brings his expertise in media research to A. Louie Associates Ltd., having spent a long time working in both print and visual media. Currently he serves as the Asia Bureau Chief for Institutional Investor Magazine, which has offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. His previous work experience includes serving as a Correspondent in China for Bloomberg News, South China Morning Post, as well as Contributing Editor for Readers Digest, Institutional Investor, and Asia Inc. magazines.
In broadcasting, Allen has served as Associate Editor & Producer for the Asia Inc. broadcast aired on Metro Plus AM in Hong Kong, as well as reporter for Hong Kong TVB, the first free-to-air television station in Hong Kong. In addition he has served as the Vice President of the Asian American Journalists Association, Asia Chapter, Secretary of the Foreign Correspondents Club of China in Beijing, and is a member of the Foreign Correspondents Club in Hong Kong. He holds a BA and MA in Mass Communication from Washington State University, speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and English, and is proficient in Cantonese.
